Watchguard XTM 1050 LCDProc
-
I recently got a Watchguard XTM 1050, thanks to this forum and all the info on it I was able to sucessfully install pfsense 2.6. The issue I'm running into is no matter what interface I choose I can't get the LCD screen to display anything other than WG BIOS V1.4. On the back of the screen where data comes in it has RS-232 printed on the board. Everything else is working fine. I'm hoping someone can help with this issue. Thank you so much in advance. Yes I'm a pfSense noob.

That's because the XTM 1050 is a Portwell/Caswell manufactured device and not Lanner like most WG boxes. So the LCD module is different. I haven't actually tried it but I expect it to be the EZIO LCD module for which an lcdproc driver now exists. Have you tried that?

@stephenw10 Thanks for the response, I’ll try it that driver when I get home

@stephenw10 I don’t see the EZIO LCD in the list, just downloaded LCDProc today

Ah, it's because it's a sub-type of HD44780:

@stephenw10 it worked, thank you so much for your help. Now I just gotta get fully acquainted with all the features of pfSense.
