      Hello

      Earlier today I upgraded my netgate SG-1100 from 21.01 to 22.01 and suffer from strange behaviour. I get only half the speed I used to get before the update and in the monitoring I see strange spikes in delays as you can see in the below graph (around 14h13 I did the update):

      The speed is terrible, it hovered around 250Mb/s before the upgrade now I can only reach 170Mb/s (down). On WiFi when I test on Ookla I only get 1 or 2 Mb/s. I have less than 10 rules in the firewall, I use pfBlockerNG and WireGuard packages.
      What are my options to get this fixed?

      Regards
      Guy

        It could be a problem on the ISP side, check it?

        An ingress problem with my own cable internet service looks like this.

        Check Diagnostics -> System Activity
        If you see both CPU cores are idle, try restarting the modem.
        Check the system logs, anything unusual here?
        The problem persists, call your ISP.

          With latency spikes like that you are probably hitting this: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12827

          There is a workaround patch for that in the recommended patches list in the System Patches package now. Try that.

            After several factory resets and restores of my configuration, I found the culprit.
            I had traffic shapers (limiters) in place to work around some moderate bufferbloat. Removing those from the floating rule on the WAN resolved the issue.

            There seems to be a problem with limiters in this release.
            Thank you for everybody who replied.

              Are you using the captive portal also?
              There is a known issue with running both: [https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12954](link url)
