      Setup port forward on port 53 on LAN and let it add a filtering rule. Optionally specify a desired DNS address here

      In the filtering rule configure a gateway group. In your gateway group either configure multiple tier 1 for round-robin, or tier 1 and tier 2 for failover.

      I think the current behavior is not properly documented and in my opinion a bug or should be configurable

        Created new topic, was unable to reply to previous thread due to permission error. The current behavior is to send DNS queries to every configured gateway at once in forwarding mode, regardless if sequential or if already reply was received
