After many, many years of using 3rd party hardware for hosting pfSense, I finally broke down and purchased the Netgate 6100. Now I am on the backorder list for it. Can't wait for it to arrive.

I also purchased the rackmount kit for it from Racknex.com - https://shop.racknex.com/produkt/netgate-6100-rackmount-kit-19-zoll/

Congrats :-) It’s a VERY nice box. I’m very very happy with mine.

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)

@scockman How did you find that rackmount kit? Never seen that before, interesting! Enjoy your 6100 -- I've set up a few and am currently using one at home too. Great box!

@luckman212 I was searching for a way to rackmount the 6100, thinking I would come up to a lot of DIY items. But saw the link the for Racknex mounting kit. This kit will support the 4100 as well. They also have kits for SG-5100 and SG-3100.

@scockman Nice. I never even thought to search for that. btw, the 5100 was based on the Lanner NCA1510 which had an official rackmount kit, but that is very hard to find nowadays.

I'll add in a few more kudos for the Netgate devices. I started with a SG2440 that was built sometime back in 2017 or so, fixed under RMA and is still chugging along. Picked up a 2100 and 5100 as spares if needed. Rack/wall mounts for all; the 2440 has the old fashioned keyholes for screws so no extra mount.
Thanks for the rackmount kit link: always nice to have.

@luckman212 It would appear that my 6100 appliance will be here this week, while the rackmount is currently sitting in Latvia customs now for a week. Hopefully it will get through the customs this week and be on its way to the US.
