      Hi there
      Context :
      pfSense 2.6.0 on a zotac mini-pc platform. 8G RAM, 96G SSD (ZFS)
      Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-10110U CPU @ 2.10GHz
Current: 2000 MHz, Max: 2501 MHz
      4 CPUs: 1 package(s) x 2 core(s) x 2 hardware threads
      AES-NI CPU Crypto: Yes (active)
      QAT Crypto: No
2 network interfaces (realtek, on board) : re0 LAN (with various VLAN) and re1 (straight to internet router)

At 16:50 today, interface re0 went down/up (and all attached VLAN as well), with no specific reason :

      4 mn later : again down/up
      1mn later : again
      ...and again, and again.

No impact on re1 (WAN) interface (hopefully, I then had the opportunity to connect and collect traces).

I collected logs and restarted the FW -> everything is now stable.

      Checked the switch' log :

Never had any problem before, on version 2.5.2
      Any clue ?

@f-meunier said in pfSense 2.6.0 continuously restarts one interface:

        re0: watchdog timeout

When you see that the only thing you can do is try the alternative driver. Other than swap out the NIC for something better that is.

        See: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/166746/realtek-re-kmod-missing-in-pfsense-2-6-repository

            @stephenw10
            Did upgrade the driver.
As far as I can see, no additionnal error.
I shall let you know if it is definitely stable.

Thank you again for your help.
