inconsistent icmp packets with VIP

Hello all, thanks in advance for any help you can offer. I have a pfsense VM setup, latest software. It is using a /28 for the WAN and also uses 5 other VIP's setup with 1:1 nats and firewall rules. I have noticed when pinging the WAN IP, I get a consistent 1ms ping. When pinging any other VIP's, it ranges from 1ms to 500ms, but most of the pings are all over the place.

Please let me know what info or screenshots are needed and I can sanitize and upload.
