      Hello together

I am using a pfSense firewall in a subnet for routing. In this network there are also boxes for IP-TV. For these I have enabled the IGMP proxy. The setup looks like this:

      Services / IGMP Proxy

      Firewall / Rules / Edit / WAN

In front of the pfSense is a Unifi network with a UXG-Pro (which unfortunately no longer supports IGMP proxy). However, the igmp option on the switches is enabled.

The TV Box also has the pfSense as a gateway:

      The logs show the following:

Unfortunately, IP-TV still does not work. Are there more logfiles about this? Or does anyone have an idea what I have to change here?

      Thanks alot and best regards

Do you see anything blocked in the firewall log?

Does it work at all? For example a common failure is that video starts streaming then fails after a few seconds.

Does it work without pfSense? If you just have the TV device on the UBNT box directly?

          Dear @stephenw10

Thank you for the answer. Interestingly, the logs say the following:

But actually all connections are allowed outgoing. Why is that?

TV actually works. Simply Live TV for which multicast is needed does not work.

Before the change to the UXG-Pro, i.e. still with the USG-Pro on which an IGMP proxy could be used, multicast (Live TV) worked.

The settings there were like this:

Those firewall logs are all blocked ACK traffic to connections that have already closed. Not a problem:
            https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/log-filter-blocked.html#troubleshooting-blocked-log-entries-for-legitimate-connection-packets

So did you have pfSense in place when you were using the USG-Pro?

Either way I'm not really sure how you can pass multicast through the UXG-Pro with or without pfSense.

            Steve
