      Hello,

Today, I just got HP NC522SFP and setup in HP ProLiant DL360 G5 as that is the only 10Gbps network card on the supported list.

Now my problem is that pfSense does not recognize network card, are have a way how I can fix it?

Will updating network card firmware help in pfsense to detect network card?

I have tried but cannot use rpm...any suggestion is welcome.

I wouldn't get my hopes up , unless something has happened lately.

Seems like the 523 might have a fix

Will updating network card firmware help in pfsense to detect network card?

@bingo600 thanks for your reply. So if I update card firmware on the Ubuntu server and back to the pfSense server, it should work?

Also, I have found a few guys are using NC552SFP and work fine, so maybe as the last option order a new card.

I doubt it .... But can't say for sure

                    On FreeBSD ???

Others say : Get Intel or Chelsio.
But it seems like the 523SFP is suported too.

qlxgb is included as a module in 2.6, if should attach if it's compatible.

Do you see any attach errors in the boot log?
