    Hello,

I have 400MB down and 30MB Up internet connection. I have tried limiters and HFSC traffic shapers and neither seems to be able to do what I want to do. I have a Netgate 4100, I created 4 Vlans on the second port interface.

What I want to do is QOS preference for VOIP, in addition I want o limit bandwidth on each Vlan to 30/5. The issue I am encountering is the following. With both options I am able to limit the speed as desired. However, all the interfaces seem to share the desired limited speed.

In other words I want each interface to have the full 30/5 internet speed. But for some reason when I use the wizard all interfaces share the 30/5 speed. If I try to download a file from two different networks, one might have 20MB and the other 15MB. What am I doing wrong?

I think I figured it out. I was using one limiter for all interfaces. I created one limiter per interface and it appears to be working as desired. Sorry for asking a dumb question.
