i225 IGC Trafficif shaping

At present, am using a 3rd party appliance, as a firewall, (WAN with 5 LANS) and has 6 x Intel 2.5Gb i225 showing as igc0-5 NIC's and are supported, works well, but I read that for Traffic Shaping with IP, that igc is not on the supported hardware list. So, has the document not been updated, or in fact does the igc NIC not support Traffic shaping. Bit confused. Thanks
