SG-1100 Failed to reload after power failure
-
My two month old SG-1100 failed to reload the saved config after a power failure and now I cannot log into the device no matter what network I have tried. I tried the default settings after a reset using the push button, and that gets me nowhere. Turned off all firewall and windows defender on my machine and still nothing.
Do I have to reload the base system?

These boxes on pre v22.01 firmwares have been pretty suceptible to filesystem corruption at powerloss/hard reboot events.
It’s likely that your box is in a boot loop now because of a filesystem corruption. You can check this by connecting to the USB based Serial Console with fx. Putty @ 115200 baudThe best fix would be to reload the basesystem from scratch (v22.01) if you have a configuration backup.
A complete reload would namely change the basefilesystem to ZFS to it is much less likely to corrupt the filesystem @ powerloss. The get a hold of the 22.01 image to reinstall the box, you need to contact netgate support (Tac Lite) - There is no need for at support contract.

Yup, open a ticket to get a reinstall image if you need it: https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request
Connect to the serial console to see what's happening:
https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/sg-1100/connect-to-console.htmlYou may be able to recover from a filesystem error without reinstalling with console access.
