pfSense completely unaccessible either from network (SSH/GUI) & Serial
-
This morning we had a WAN change scheduled for our pfSense which manages all our office network. Through this change we saw that it wasn't working as intended as our LAN's were getting no connectivity. Then we wanted to start fresh and restore our pre-change morning backup. Once pfSense was restoring this backup we got timed out on pfSense and suddenly we couldn't access it anymore, nor any other services (DNS resolver, dhcp, etc.) were working. We tried connecting through Serial to see if we could debug it, find if the IP assigned to pfSense changed or at least be able to reset it to factory new and restore it again but we got a blank screen once trying to do so.
We're almost running out of alternatives and we're in a hurry since some of our production environment is behind it.
We'd like to know if there is any way to access it or know what is wrong with it.
I can't provide any screens or detailed logs about it since we cannot access it.
Thanks.

What hardware is it?
Does it have any other console except serial you can check?
Have you connected to the serial console on that before? Do you know your serial terminal setup is correct?
Do you see anything on the serial console if you reboot it?

@stephenw10 It looked like it had some sort of corruption of it's hard drive and it was not able to boot, while connected through the serial and rebooting the system we were able to see this issue.
Contacting with Netgate support we were able to restore pfSense so this ticket can now be closed.
Thanks.
