      Hello,

I wanted to ask about the encryption password that is used to encrypt the config file before sending. When I enter the password, let's say 64 mixed characters and save it, the hidden password in the GUI is shortened to about 10 characters. Why?

pfSense does still use the whole gnarly 64 character password for encryption? What is the length limit for the encryption password or is there?

The full password is stored in the config. The GUI just shows it like that to avoid giving any clues to what it might be by revealing the length.

@RubeGMachine Even browsers are doing the same...thought you would gather that intuitively.
