      Hello!

I setup a DHCP Server and it works pretty well on the LAN port.

Furthere more I tried to setup the OPT port as an swichting port by following this How-To Guide https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/solutions/sg-1100/switch-overview.html

I expected that the DHCP server works now on LAN and OPT but it does not.

      What i am missing?

@matthias-1 What do you have set in the PORTS and the VLAN tabs in the Switch configuration on the 1100?

@matthias-1 As far as I can tell here you have nothing plugged into OPT.

What shows up in the System Log under firewall regarding DHCP?

Looks like the dhcp service is crashing/restarting if i plug in something in the OPT Port, this should not happen.

Do you have the LAN referencing the OPT port for status? If so the services running on it will be restarted when it's disconnected.

In Interfaces LAN there is a field 'Switch port'. That will use the external switch port status for the interface since the physical NIC on the 1100 is internal and always UP. By default that should be set to port 2 (the LAN port). If it's set to port 1 it will reload when the OPT port links.
You can set it to 'Select the switch port' and it will no longer reflect external changes there.

                    Steve
