Multiple MAC per IP? strange...

Hey guys, I installed arpwatch on my pfSense and I am seeing several mac addresses per each of my static IPs I have.
DHCP is disabled completely but why am I getting the same secondary MAC address for all my static IPs?
I am having certain vm to pfsense gateway disconnections and wonder if this has something to do with it.
This is a virtualized PFsense on VMware and I have separated interfaces for the WAN and LAN segments. It works most of the time but sometimes VM lose connection to the internal pfsense IP (gateway) and stop having internet access until I reboot the pfsense VM.
Any suggestions?
