      After upgrading from 2.5.1 to 2.6.0 I'm getting these [kernel{if_io_tqq_X}] that appear to be taking a lot of CPU. I've not seen these before and I don't see anything on a search. Can someone inform me as to what's going on?

        I've found this site: https://forums.freebsd.org/threads/what-is-kernel-if_io_tqg-100-load-of-core.70642/ that infers it is related to network queues. This is an APU2D4 with the intel i210AT NICs.

          Yeah, that is effectively traffic load on the firewall. The filter load also shows there.

            @stephenw10 I don't recall seeing it in earlier versions or before the upgrade. Was it expressed differently? With those numbers, does that seem concerning?

              Yeah, since the re-write of many drivers to use the iflib framework the loading appears differently. So 2.6 and higher.

              That loading level is not necessarily any sort of issue. It depends how much traffic it was passing at that point and when the CPU is.
