I'd like to assign a VIP of fe80::1 as a Virtual IP to each of my VLANs or LANs. It's easy to remember (other people like fe80::1:1 for the same reason). pfsense prohibits me from doing this, claiming that I'm reusing the same IP.

But isn't an LLA bound to its interface scope? Shouldn't I be able to do so? Is it just over-aggressive validation?
