      I'm about to buy a Alix.2D3 based firewall from Netgate, but I just need to be sure that it does what I need.

      I'm going to hooking it up to a 802.1q VLAN trunk coming from a HP Procurve switch.  I'm having a tough time figuring out if the VIA VT6105M NIC ports playing nicely with 802.1q under pfSense?

      I usually just build my own box with Intel NICs, but this client needs something less expensive.

        Yup works fine, I'm using the exact same board with a half dozen VLANs and it's working great.
