I am experiencing system crashes when Squid PS is running. I know this to be related to Squid since it happened on 2 different systems with completely different hardware only after Squid was enabled and no longer happened when disabled.

In this instance I am methodically building a new PFS box with a duo core x64 AMD cpu 4200mhz, 4gb memory and 250gb HDD. I am progressing from base install maintaining stable copies of configs at each phase of a package install/cfg and am now trying to get Squid working.

I did a basic install and config of Squid PS and verified it was running properly (used manual network setting in Firefox browser and watched traffic pass within the Realtime tab in PFS Squid.

Shortly after having it running the box shutdown, I restarted the box disabled Squid and now it has been running with no issues. I havent looked at the system logs yet to see what it says happened but I think my investigation clearly shows Squid was the issue.

As I said this happened on the previous box as well with the same symptoms and results and was resolved when disabled.

Has anyone had similar experiences with or aware of Squid shutting down systems?

As an FYI if you are curious as to the config I used the following video as a reference to build the base config (22:15 in the video).
