pfSense plus offline download
-
I used to have a sg-2440. When I performed upgrades via the web interface I would always perform a config backup and download the installed versions image so I could re-install in case of an issue.
I now have a sg-5100 that has pfsense plus. This page says I need to contact "Netgate TAC" to retrieve installation media, but I don't have an active tac subscription.
I'm a home user and buying a subscription doesn't make sense for me. Is there any way for me to get the offline media?

@jj5588 you don't need a tac subscription to obtain install for netgate appliances.
https://www.netgate.com/tac-support-request
You can just fill in the info on that form, category pf plus image request
Normally have link to download in a few minutes.
Anyone that buys an appliance has tac "lite" ;)

I thought that even tac "lite" had an expiration date. Derp. Thank you!
Edit: From request to getting the download link, it was about 5 minutes!

Yeah they are johnny on the spot, I think the longest I ever waited was like 20 or 30 minutes. But that was like right when a new version had dropped, and sure they were swamped, etc.

Yeah, release days... Sometimes those are delayed 2-3 hours depending on staff workload.
