                  @william-mandell said in Pre-Installed Packages (Auto-installed)?:

                  aws-wizard, and ipsec-profile-wizard

                  Those two packages come preinstalled with Plus. If you don't want them, technically they can be deleted and reinstalled later.

                  Is time incorrect on your router?

                  re: boot changes, did you upgrade to v23.01? I haven't bothered checking logs but that does upgrade the OS from FreeBSD 12 to 14 so I wouldn't be surprised if there were changes.

                  Perhaps Netgate will see the questions about boot/kernel/etc., but to help that along I suggest starting a new thread in the Netgate hardware section rather than under a thread about packages.

                  Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
                  When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

                      @william-mandell Not sure what "devel" you're discussing...am not seeing that searching this page...? The BIOS version of the device is unrelated to the pfSense software version.

                      The dev version of pfSense now would be 23.05, if that's even available yet.

                      There is a package for updating firmware that exists for some Netgate hardware, if there is (ever?) an update available. Search the package list for "firmware." I don't have an 1100 to look at...we've sold 2100, 3100, or higher model numbers.
