Running pfSense+ V.22.05-RELEASE. I see that miniupnpd UPnP Service is running by default. I understand UPnP and the associated security concerns. Is this something we want on by default in pfSense? I do run an X-Box and a Minecraft server as well as a QNAP NAS. I had the ports forwarded to these devices prior to upgrading to pfSense+ and the default miniupnpd UPnP Service. I guess my question is..Do I just run the default UPnP (is it safe?) or shut it down and go with port forwarding. Thoughts?

UPnP should not be enabled by default. What are you seeing that on? What's the history?

If you can use port forwards I would do that. Only use UPnP when you have no other option IMO.
