Ticket Subject: Pfsense randomly stopped working
      Problem Category: Other
Detailed Problem Description: 1. This morning my router firewall randomly stopped working for no apparent reasons
      2. I got internet back when I reinstalled my ISP router/firewall
      3. I tried to connect the wan port of the firewall where pfsense is running to an ethernet port of the BT router and still I was not able to access the GUI.
      4. I suspect that the issue is with the PPPoE but there is no information on how to change the config from the console.
      5. I factory rest and reinstalled the configuration backups. No changes.
The WAN port of the router was flashing green on one side and orange on the other side. Potentially a half duplex issue, but I wouldn't expect it to kill the whole home network
      6. I am running out of ideas. Can you please help. Happy to share any details you may need.
      Platform: Whitebox/Other
      Software Platform: pfSense
Netgate Device ID: I have a protectli router.
      Software Version: pfSense 2.6.0

Were you still able to connect to the LAN side of pfSense? Open the webgui?

Were you able to connect to the console? What did/does that show for the interfaces?

        Is it even booted correctly?

If you have pfSense configured with a PPPoE WAN then it won't connect to another router without switching that to DHCP.
