As the title says. Are there any known plans for working on getting ALTQ support for the igc driver or is that something that relies on intel upstream work? The igb driver and ixgbe drivers both support it so there is a precedent for intel cards supporting it.

Where are you seeing it not available?

@stephenw10 i followed the documentation for the feature as i currently dont own any equipment with a Intel I225 family nic. The FreeBSD documentation does not seem to list the igc driver as supported for the feature. So i assumed that the feature is not avavible.

Followed the information found in https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/trafficshaper/altq-hardware-support.html to find the altq information about supported drivers. In FreeBSD 14 category igc driver is not listed and its the driver for the I225 family as far as i found.

I only looked this up as part of my research for looking at upgrading my pfSense box to a box featuring the I225 family.

Ah, I guess that man page needs to be updated, igc is relatively new. As far as I know it is ALTQ capable though.
