Intermmitent internet outages
-
I am seeing my internet access drop for a few minutes pretty frequently.
I see these entries in the system logs, do they indicate an issue on the ISP side?Oct 18 07:24:23 dpinger 6634 WAN_DHCP6 fe80::fab7:e2ff:fe05:9419%igc0: Clear latency 27518us stddev 57903us loss 5%

@rementis
The logs generally indicate that you don't get reponds from 8.8.8.8 to every Ping requests.However, since I presume that the server is present all the time and responding to all pings, I think it"s an issued with your Internet connection.
Is pfSense connected directly to the ISP or is there a modem or a router in front of it?
-
@viragomann pfsense is connected to the cable modem. The interface/logs on the modem are useless unfortunately. Netgear crap.

@rementis
I guess, the modem belongs to the ISP. So you can say it"s an issue at ISP side. -
Mmm, those look like real upstream issues unless you have something that shows otherwise.
