      Hello,

I use PfSense CE (2.6.0) within an architecture under Proxmox VE. I configured several things: SSH, VPN, IPSec, NIDS (Suricata), HIDS, etc.

Yesterday I noticed that there were error logs that my PfSense was full in disk memory. Indeed, the Suricata logs were not rotated and therefore filled the memory which is only 4 GB.

So I deleted these logs, then I wanted to change the log rotation settings in Suricata. So I went to Services > Suricata > Logs Mgmt and checked the "Enable Directory Size Limit" option and set "Log Limit Size in MB" to 500 (to test).

After that, I went back to Suricata > Interfaces, and there, nothing, I had no more interfaces. I then went to my firewall, all my rules disappeared. Same thing for SSH, OpenVPN, there is NOTHING left...

How could this have happened? Is there a solution to find my configurations or everything is screwed?

To know that all the vonfigurations that I made were made on the Pfsense Web interface and that for a few weeks, without particular problem.

Or roll back to a snapshot in Proxmox if you have one.
