      Hai,

i have a question about the Package "System_Patches".

It is installed on the CE image i use for my customers, which work on different versions of ESXi.

      This package is needed for
"Manages custom code patches to be applied and maintained to the system. These can be commits from Github, manual diffs, or loaded from URLs."
      Link

So if i just use the original CE image from pfSense and only install updates/upgrade from the original site i will not use this, right?

      Thanks in advance
      Frank

Yes, system patches is for seldom issued bug fixes between releases. But it doesn't cost you anything to install, and will be there should you need it.
