Hi, first of all thanks for pfSense it's great piece of art. I use pf 1.2.2.

I have 4 NICs in pfSense box.
WAN (DHCP), System | General setup | Domain: mydomain.com (as example)
LAN - my lan subnet 192.168.1.1, DHCP server, GW: 192.168.1.1, DNS server 192.168.1.1,
DMZ on OPT1, without DHCP server
      OPT2 - not used
LAN_FRIEND on OPT3 - friends lan subnet 192.168.8.1, DHCP server, GW: 192.168.8.1, DNS server 192.168.8.1

      LAN

      • Services | DHCP Server checked Enable DHCP server on LAN interface,
      • Services | Dynamic DNS: checked Enable registration of DHCP client names in DNS and in editbox mydomain.com

      LAN_FRIEND

      • Services | DHCP Server checked Enable DHCP server on LAN interface,
      • Services | Dynamic DNS: checked Enable registration of DHCP client names in DNS and in editbox frienddomain.com

All works great (wit some port forward and firewall rules) except in LAN_FRIEND subnet I can't obtain friendsdomain.com as domain suffix. Instead I get always mydoimain.com in FRIENDS-LAN interface.

I tried many options in DHCP server, DNS forwarder, interfaces and system setup. I can't obtain other domain suffix in optional lan as mydomain.com.

      Is it possible?

Thanks in advance for any help,
      Radek

Under Services -> DHCP Server do you have a Dynamic DNS option for OPT3?
If not, it may be because you don't have the Fit123 package installed. (I see the option on my system and I have Fit123 installed.) Have no experience with this option but I think if you specify a domain there you will get what you want.

          hi,

i was browsing thru the forums and stumbled upon this thread, which currently  the same situation im facing now… i have two internal network (LAN and LAN2) and would want to have a separate domain suffixes for the internal network e.g. LAN=mycompany.com, LAN2=myothercompany.com. i installed Fit123 package and tried the suggestions mentioned above, but no luck...

anyone have ideas about this? thanks in advance...
