      Hi I have a 100/100 fiber connection connected using 1GB UTP cables to my Windows 10 Pro Hyper-V machine where a Dedicated a 1GB interface for the WAN port of the Pfsense.

      Download directly on that interface gives me 100/100 in the VM.

      When I upload via the WAN interface of the pfsense it is not passing 1.5MB upload speed.

      Any help is very welcome.

      I tried to disable large send offload but that made upload not better and download drop to 6mbs.

          @ala76nl

          I was using Windows Pro 10 and Hyper-V for a couple of years.
          Lately, I saw very low upload speeds indeed. No a big issue, as it was close to my ISP upload anyway.

          But, lately, on this forum, I saw others mentioning also that Hyper-V doesn't play well with pfSense : speeds are horrible.

          For myself : I went to a bare-bone solution.
          For you : What about trying another VM host.

          Edit : and where are the logs ??

            @gertjan The speed directly on the nic works fine. So it is not Hyper-v that is the issue it is Pfsense on Hyper-v.

              @ala76nl said in pfsense upload slow on hyper-v:

              So it is not Hyper-v that is the issue it is Pfsense on Hyper-v.

              I was thinking : Freebsd (pfSense) not playing nicely with the emulated hn virtual interfaces.
              Anyway, search the forum, maybe some one found a solution.

                @gertjan

                It is a bug in version 2.6.

                Never had the issue before.

                Upgraded to the dev 2.7 version and now have 100 mbs+ upload speed.

                  Almost certainly this: https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/12873

                  There are workarounds in the linked thread there for 2.6 if you need to use that.
