      Hello,
I have a sg 5100 new that i am trying to set up but when I power it on it never loads. I consoled into it and it just keeps running through the boot sequence and rebooting. Is there a image or firmware I can reapply to it?

@cerberus2022 You'll need to open up a ticket with support. They can provide a firmware image for you.

While you wait (probably a couple of minutes) for the new firmware to arrive, and while you're looking for a USB drive, try this : How to Run a pfSense Software File System Check (5/2020) and smack a post-it on your 5100 : "never-ever rip out the power" as it might do bad things to the file system.

Also, while you do the fsck thing, grab a copy of the /conf/config.xml, just to be sure.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

@cloudified No, no need for this. Do this instead @cerberus2022 https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/filesystem-check.html

It does depend where in the process it's rebooting.
If it's an older device that's been on a shelf somewhere and is just now being deployed then it may well be hitting a UFS filesystem issue and that check will resolve it.
However you might consider reinstalling as ZFS anyway since it's more convenient to do that now before it's been deployed.
