internet Access

Dear Team,
i have pfsense 2.6.0 am not an expert in pfsense but i recently had challenges with my firewall, at times, i lose access to internet and i can not browse until i restart that is when i get back internet access, i reinstalled pfsense thinking the new installation might help but am surprised again i lost internet access twice and i until i restart the firewall that when i can browse, what is also funny when i can not browse anything, i can ping google DNS. has anyone come across this in pfsense? . packages installed on the new pfsense are Squid, squid guard pfBlockerNG, snort, bandwidthD, arpwatch, darkstat, iperf, mail report, ntopng, openvpn client,
rrd summary, service watchdog, and status traffic total. there is nothing else among the packages installed.
thanks in advance -
1)remove all packages and/or reset to factory defaults
2)see if that works.
3) if it works: add 1 package and wait x time to see if things keep working.
4) repeat 3 for all remaining packages
5) report back what package breaks your setup. forum member might be able to provide in depth feedback on the specific package -

When this happens what shows in Status->Gateways?
If it is reading OFFLINE check your monitoring IP. If it is very similar to your public IP change the Monitoring IP from {blank} to a public DNS server you trust that always replies to pings (recommendations: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1, 9.9.9.9, etc)
System->Routing->Gateways->Edit Gateway -
...........Squid, squid guard pfBlockerNG, snort,...
It might be sounding strange but I would tending to one
of this packages and therefore you will be best going
the entire way @heper was giving you. From the other end it let imagine that "something" runs full,
and until you reboot this is not really flushed. This can be also everything or let us say much, so again you will be
best running with a fresh install, testing out and step by
step installing the other packages. If Squid is in caching mode, as a caching proxy it could be
you are using a RAM disk and it runs full? -

Like ping by IP address (8.8.8.8) directly?
That starts to sound like a DNS issue. Try going to Diag > DNS Lookup and checking all the configured servers respond if it happens again.
