Very low upload speed

PFsense Netgate 7100
Software Version 22.05My scenario:
Computer - 172.19.32.7
Pfsense - 172.19.32.252
Router - 172.19.32.254
Im on my Computer, the gateway is the pfsense, very low upload speed's, like 1000/0,15 Mbps
If i chage the GW on the host to 172.19.32.254 (Router IP), all is good, like 1000/200 Mbps
No traffic shapper
I have defined all the interfaces to 100TX Full-duplex instead of auto-negotiate -
@pdsgomes Why do you have two routers? Are they connected to different WAN connections? The same WAN using NAT?
100? Not 1000? Or was that a typo?
-
You also appear to have everything in the same IP subnet (172.19.32.0), so that can't really work well at all unless you have split it into smaller segments. In fact, if you have left the subnet sizes at their defaults for that range, I am surprised it works at all.
-
@bmeeks I was assuming those were all LAN network IPs of each device and the WAN IPs on the routers are different. But yeah good to clarify.
@pdsgomes
In practice if one is careful there can be multiple routers on the same network. They can't both serve DHCP of course. Two other things to try are changing patch cables, or putting a switch in between the pfSense and the ISP router. Sometimes that helps.

Hi All,
Thanks for your answers-
If fact, before we put a Pfsense, we already had the router, that router was the default gw to all network stations and also connects via VPN to other router on the other site, so we can't take him off.
I was trying to filter the traffic before it reaches the internet, so putting pfsense could help me.

How can i configure pfsense behind the router and being the gw for local workstations?

You can keep this "the router" :

You could install pfSense, using all (like all !) default settings with just one input needed from you : change the password. I'm not joking.
The WAN interface of pfSense will use a DHCP (client !), so it will it's WAN IP from the upstream, already existing "the router", just like any other device (printers PCs, workstation, whatever) on the LAN network of that router. pfSense will just be "one more device on the LAN of this/the router".The pfSense LAN interface will use 192.168.1.1/24 default and you have the activated DHCP (server !) on this pfSEnse LAN interface, with a pool size somewhere in 192.168.1.2 up until 192.168.1.254.
Now, hook up a PC to this pfSense LAN interface.
Internet access will work, right away.
Nothing needs to be changed or set differently.
At this moment you are using pfSense, you never saw any of the pages where it shows 'firewall rules', you never had to enter any DNS no where.
It just works out of the box, as any other router out there. -
You are not joking mas you were funny :)
The network has already a DHCP Server distributing 172.19.32.0 ip's and i want to put their GW to pfsense (172.19.32.252).

In a situation like this it's very easy to end up with asymmetric routing and that can cause all sorts of issues.
How is the pfSense WAN connected? Does it share the same WAN as the other router?
Can we see a diagram?
