Netgate 5100 : Power on after power loss
-
The UPS plugin successfully shutdown the gateway during a recent power loss. However when power came back on, the device didn't auto power on. How can I access the BIOS or similar settings to set it to power on always when power is restored?
I checked the netgate 5100 online manual but I couldn't find any mention of this.

IIRC, there is a setting in the BIOS for always powering on when power is applied. I thought it was set by default on the 5100, but I'm not 100% sure.
To see the setting, you need to attach a console cable and reboot. During boot there is a prompt that says what key to press to enter setup.

@dennypage Okay, wasn't sure how to get to the bios without a monitor and wasn't about to play around during business hours. Your response gives me hope.

@jcormier The 5100s do not have video out.

@rcoleman-netgate Wow that was fast, is there an auto response setup for the word monitor? xD
I can use the USB console, that's fine.

@jcormier We monitor the forums :D
