Am i losing my mind, or is there no place to see the current link speed of an interface? status -> interfaces does not show this (media says 'autoselect'). Interfaces -> assign does not show this. the console/CLI does not show this.

where can i clearly see the current link speeds?

It should show there if that info is available to the OS.

If it doesn't show in the output of ifconfig -vvma at the CLI then the Status page won't show it.

Typically that can be when using a DAC cable or a multirate SFP module.

thank you so much. i am surprised the OS is not aware.. these are 10GB SFP links, was just trying to verify both sides are seeing the same link speeds. thank you again for your time.

If the NIC/driver doesn't report it the OS has no way to know. Usually they do but SFP modules introduce a lot more variables and sometimes it will link fine but not report a speed or report as 'unknown'.
