I have now crashed head-on into an - unbelievably - 15 years old issue with non functioning DHCP-Relay if the DHCP server is located behind a IPSec Site 2 Site to tunnel out of the same pfSense?

It’s hard to understand that this simple - and very much usefull feature - for small office installs is still not working.

I want the pfSense to do the routing/filtering of traffic between VLANs at a remote location, not a switch - which is required if I want DHCP-Relay to HQ over the IPSec tunnel.
Ususally these small offices does not have routing capable switches.

No chance this will ever get fixed?
Will it work if I replace the IPsec tunnel with at Wireguard tunnel, or is this just a “will never work” issue with pfSense?

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)
