2.7.8.a.20221216.0600 Hangs

As stated in the subject, upgrading hangs on upgrading the kernel. When killing the process (kill <23451>) at the console returns "missing name for redirect." What does that means?
It doesn't matter whether one does the upgrade at the GUI or at the console, the hanging will occur.
I guess the sixth try at the console was the trick; however, still having issues with Suricata. The GUI says it's not working yet the pfSennse logs says see below.
