      Hi,
      New to pfSense. We have a Netgate 7100-1U that I'm trying to get set up. I'm working on getting users on board with LDAP to an Active Directory server. I have the AD controllers set up under User Manager -> Authentication Servers using LDAP, and when I click "Select a container" under Authentication Containers, it shows me the list of LDAP containers available on the AD controller. From what I've read, I need to create a group with the same name as the corresponding AD group that I want to pull from, but when I do, it doesn't seem to map properly and when I test via Diagnostics -> Authentication, it says the test was successful but the user is not part of any groups. I also am seeing a lot of the following errors in the logs (Status -> System Logs): Dec 19 09:41:40 cron 71543 nss_ldap: could not search LDAP server - Server is unavailable

      I'm still trying some other things, but if anyone has some direction for me to figure out what's going on, I'd appreciate the help.

        @jmickens

        It seems I was using a container name and not a user group. Once I changed to a valid security group, it started working.
