I see a few posts on reddit/netgate forums about a IPsec VTI having this issue. The tunnel will drop and system logs are flooded with message about aquiring reqid.
@jimp i see an old post stating that this will be corrected in an strongswan release but that post was form 2020 i believe?

Are there still issues with strongswan and this reqid message? Should i open a redmine?

That's still just harmless log spam.

The error is from trying to look up a policy, but VTI doesn't use policies. It would need to be corrected in strongSwan, not pfSense code.
