Noobie Needing help with config.
-
Good Morning Everyone, I'm trying to take another crack at PFsense and am spending a bit more time reading the documentation this go around.
I'm having an issue creating another network on a new interface at my sewing factory and could use some help.
- I created & Enabled the new interface OPT1 Assigned Static IPV4 192.168.22.1/24 The main LAN is (192.168.55.1 Just FYI) - No additional settings enabled
- I created and enabled the Firewall rule to Pass anything to this IP Range to and from OPT1
- I enabled the DHCP server for Opt1 and set the assigned ranges from 192.168.22.22-192.168.22.54
However, I can't seem to get any wan connection when I test this. Am I missing anything here?
Once I get this setup and learned the ropes of this. I'd like to convert it to work with my Unifi AP. is there further reading somewhere I can look at to do this?

@garric Explain number 2.
Would also help to post pics of the firewall rules. Don't crop it to just the rules, post the whole page for each interface -
@jarhead You're right. See the attached. Thanks!!

@garric
What exactly is the problem?
Does the problem exist on the LAN also?There's nothing in pfSense that would block internet access on either network with this config.
What are you checking with? a pc?
Make sure it received it's config from the dhcp server. Maybe you had it set to static and didn't have the correct gateway on it?
I'm just guessing but it could be anything. -
Oddly, seems to be working now. Appreciate you taking the time to look at this.
I did try plugging a unifi AP into OPT1 and I can see it on the DHCP server leases however I can't seem to find the AP on unifis software. Is there something else I should be changing? I can ping the AP on 192.168.22.20 as well.

Just wanted to post an update. Was able to get this unifi AP working on a different subnet by SSHing into the AP and pointing it with setinform to the controller on the other subnet.
