Hi so I have an issue at the moment. I have already running a PfSense box FM2 mainboard with an A10-5800K Apu running with the Dell Intel Pro 1000V/T 4 port NIC card without fault detects fine not a problem so its definitely working.
I want to swap it over to a 2500T running on an a Lenovo M91p is6xm Motherboard this has been fully updated to the latest bios etc and runs fine. However as soon as I install PfSense (which installs fine) it only detects the onboard NIC it can't see the Dell Intel Pro 1000V/T.
All the lights on the NIC show the cables are connected at 1gb/s but I only have the 1 NIC on the board available. I have tried another pcie card in to see if the port is broken and sadly its not.

Am I missing something or is this NIC just not compatible with the Motherboard

      Kind Regards

      Steve

It may simply be incompatible. Does pcifconf -lv show it?

There are a few hacks about for preventing smbus address conflicts that can resolve things like this but they usually require hardware mods so.... proceed at your own risk!

            Something like this perhaps:
            https://www.reddit.com/r/PFSENSE/comments/kseq2e/dell_intel_i350t4_quad_nic_compatibility_issues/

Though that's not the same symptoms you're seeing.
