Does anyone know how to upgrade the current version of ntop in pfsense?

We are currently running 3.3.8 in Pfsense 1.2.2

As noted in other forums such as http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,15488.0.html there are stability issues.

Presumably the issue is with ntop, wondering if there was a way to update this manually?
