      Hi all,

23.01 was a failure for me and caused me to lose WAN access.

I had to do a fresh reinstallation of 2.6.0 CE, but when I try to upgrade to Plus, I get the following error in the update manager:

      "Unable to check for updates"

Is this a transient error, or is there a problem with 2.6.0 CE? This is happening as of 7:00AM ET or so.

      Thanks.

I got my system up with fixing the 2.6.0 repositories files so that I can download plus.

However, 23.01 seems to have messed up DHCP - one of my secondary interfaces is handing DHCP IP addresses on my WAN interface conflicting with the cable modem! I'm not sure why this would happen but essentially seems 23.01 uses the wrong interface for the DHCP server in certain cases?

Hmm, that's a very odd situation.

          What hardware are you using?
It's possible that 23.01 is able to see more NICs than 22.05 and has reordered them as a result. That might mean one is linked to your WAN somehow.

@stephenw10 I'm running 23.01 in ESX 7.x. Yes, my initial "loss of WAN" issue was due to the fact my VMX interfaces were all re-arranged. I had to remap all my interfaces.

My WAN1 and WAN2 are back online, but DHCP is still not working correctly on my WiFi guest subnet - if I turn on DHCP for that interface, my WAN2 (Cable Modem) will grab an IP from pfSense DHCP rather than the cable modem.

Motherboard is a Jetway jnf592-q170, but that should all be abstracted with VMware right?

Hmm, something must be connected there.

Try running a pcap on each to see if that traffic is actually there.

When the WAN pulls a lease from pfSense does it show the other interface as the DHCP server MAC?
