Lcdproc error using hd44780 with lcd2usb

I am using pfsense 1.2.2.
I am getting a msg: The chosen lcdproc driver is not a valid choice

I installed the PCDproc package and configured it to use hd44780 however can not see where to setup the ConnectionType=lcd2usb as suggested in the LCDproc UserGuide.
I look like if I am missing something.
Can anybody give me some help.
