Hi,I have been using Pfsense for years and quite familiar with it. After upgrading to version 23.01 when i now make a change, say add/remove a rule i dont see the apply button anymore. I have to reboot the Pfsense for it to take effect. is anyone else having this issue? It seems so counter productive if we now have to reboot for changes to take effect.

@johnpoz Thank you for the reply. but i dont get an apply button. does that mean we potentially have a bug? As a test I added a new rule but still did not get the apply button appearing anywhere?

@meuser that seems like maybe a browser issue, when you save a new rule, the apply button should appear at the top of the rules screen..

I have not yet updated to 23.01 - but I can tell you for sure, rebooting to apply firewall is not normal. So clearly something is not right..

@meuser I'm on 23.01 and the apply button appears in both Chrome (v 110.0.5481.100) and Firefox (v 110.0).

Have you tried different browsers? Are you sure it's not a browser plug-in causing the issue?

Yup nothing has changed there, you should see the apply button after adding or editing rules:

Thank you all for your replies. It turned out to be Bitdefender antivirus suite causing this. I added an exception and its now working. Sometime this antivirus products causes more issues than they solve lol.
