community fibre UK

Hello all,
My ISP is virgin media (VM). Their router is set as a modem and I use its uppermost WAN port to connect to my pfsense qotom 4 port via Ethernet. This is then connected to a TPlink 4 port Ethernet switch which then is connected directly to my desktop and the other TPlink is used to connect to my Asus RTAX 88U AP.
I will be leaving, hopefully VM and going to community fibre (CF).
I know like VM use DHCP.My question is that can I continue the same setup (VM) as described above for CF?

Yes, I would expect so. I imagine the provide you with some sort of ONT that you will be able to connect the pfSense WAN to.
If they provide the fibre directly you might be able to just use a SFP port dircetly but you would need a NIC to do it.Steve

The company will install a ONT , and this is where you connect the wan port of pfsense into.
Depending on the wan isp configuration , you set the wan to dhcp or set it to fixed ip configuration

Thanks a lot.
I was worried that my entire setup would need to be reconfigured again.
