In the process of trying to install some packages on my Netgate 2100, I was prompted to update the firmware to 23.01. No my CPU usage is all but maxed out and my network is running slower than a snail on a salt bed. I uninstalled the packages I installed and configured thinking that might help but it made no change. I do have a a clone of before the upgrade in my Boot Environments. Can I select that and reboot it back to before I loaded the "upgrade"? I had everything running great before that.

Were you able to resolve this?

Yes, you can roll back to a ZFS BE snap at 22.05 from 23.01. You cannot roll back to a 22.01 BE.

Can you see what's using the CPU in Diag > System Activity?

Don't install packages if a later version is detected/offered. Select Previous Stable in the update branch, so you're installing 22.05 packages on 22.05. (that said, 22.05 repos are offline temporarily, but it sounds like you already upgraded)

Was one package pfBlockerNG? There was a bug in an initial 3.2 release when TLD Wildcard blocking was enabled in DNSBL settings. Resolved in a package update that was probably after your post.

Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.
