Aruba S2500 switch
-
Would anyone happen to know how to enable HTTP for the WebUI for management of an Aruba S2500 switch. I am having issues with the certificate and I think it would be easier to use HTTP for this home switch.
I have searched and been unable to find anything.
Otherwise I will have to figure out how to create a new cert for it. The switch cannot create a self-signed cert, or at least not that I have found.

@andyrh Just use pfSense to create the cert.
I do that for 3 or 4 of my devices including my S3500 switch. Works great. And, the switch can create a self signed but it was a pain in the ass if I remember right. Wasn't worth doing.

@jarhead I looked for a self signed cert, it is not an option.
For pfSense to do it, do I need to install a cert manager?
-
@andyrh It already has one. System/Cert Manager.
The one thing I remember that was different for the Aruba was I had to install both the CA and cert.
-
@jarhead I should have started with I hate doing certs, I have more than once, locked myself out.
Thank you for the tip, it worked.--Edit:
Half worked. Edge works, but the IE emulator I need still sees it as revoked. I do not see another cert in the switch.

@andyrh I’ll look in a bit when I’m at work, think they use the same is as the 2930m devices.

I don't have access to my switch but I believe what I did was right click on the field and keep the button down, then left click in the field and it'll stay open so you can do what you want.
Been a few months since I used mine but I believe that was it.

@nogbadthebad Think you need the following for just http:- web-management
 ip source-interface all INTERFACE
-
@nogbadthebad I do not appear to have that command. All I have is web-server which does not have an option for HTTP. Oddly it is easy to enable telnet.
-
@andyrh ah sorry I thought that it ran the same is as the 2930m switches.
