We have two Netgate 7100 1U in HA config (CARP on additional PCIE intel PRO/1000 NIC).
We use integrated switchs as redundant DMZ switchs, so we have put a RJ45 patch between them (on port 1 aka ETH1).
Since 23.01 update, we can't have the link up between the integrated switchs... we have tested all ports, they all works. We also have tested another RJ45 patch ;)

The result... CARP status are bads on VLANs 973 & 975, no more redundancy and communication between switchs...

      Any idea ?

@fa2 Unfortunately I don't have any help for you, except to report that we are experiencing the same thing after upgrading to 23.01. I even cold booted both devices and saw the carrier lights come on at first, but they then turned off.

@rjohnston3 There's an issue with a regression in 23.01 in which the 7100 switch ports do not support auto-MDI/X. Maybe try a crossover cable to see if that works.

Thank you @bigsy. One rj45 crossover patch after, problem resolved :)
As Auto-MDI-X is in the 1000BASE-T standard (ref), i've not tried that...
