Install pfsense without wan and lan

I'm trying to create a hot spot (yes,one more ;D) in a little bar.
Before I would like to try to use pfsense in my house in my old pc.
I bought a Network Interface Card.
Do I need to connect it to internet and to a AP or can I try use my pc withot connection?
Because if it is, I should move my big pc..
