    Netgate 1100 can no longer update nor install apps (again)

      Hi,

      I have a Netgate 1100 running pfsense 22.05-Release.

      I noticed that it can no longer update nor get the list of available packages.
      The updates/package-list were working maybe 1 month ago when I successfully installed avahi. I only remember changing some firewall rules since then, nothing else.

      I'm using the default admin account. (I have posted about a similar problem months ago, that issue turned out to be using a non-default administrator account).

        Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
        When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

            @davidylau If yours is a small-partition system, FYI the reinstall from USB (using USB Recovery) is pretty straightforward. I did one of mine the other day and I am back up running without issue.

                Then you should be fine, lucky you. 🤕 If you don't want to wait to install 23.01 you can reinstall from image, and restore your config, or check back in a couple weeks.
